Ashleigh and Pudsey at The Vet

There’s a new vet on the block in Mitcham.

One of the biggest and best veterinary practices in the country hosted an open day at their impressive premises in Mitcham.

Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey arrived to show their support with a jaw dropping performance.

The delighted crowds of animal lovers who turned up to get exclusive behind the scenes access to all of the facilities also had a chance to meet Ashleigh and Pudsey who stayed to speak to just about everyone after their performance. Welcoming  was the word of the day with guided tours of the facilities, games, quizzes, and a give-away for a photo shoot for one lucky person with…. Me!

Bare Films – Bare Content Launch Party

Bare Films threw down an epic party at their offices in the West End to mark the launch of their new website – Bare Content.

Throwing open the doors at their lavish offices in Tottenham Mews – an area now considered one of the hottest and coolest areas for the creative industry to have a base – the party was a go.

DJ’s playing sets straight out of a Vauxhall club night and Butlers In The Buff transforming the already stylish reception into a scene from boogie nights. The first people to arrive were treated to the boiling, frying, steaming beauty of the Thai Street Food Van getting ready to feed the 200+ guests.

Before the last jobs of the day were wrapped, the place was already packed with the movers and shakers of Londons’ creative scene. Agencies, producers, directors, writers, musicians and film crew descending on the place for a huge school night event.

Every floor was packed. From the top floor smokers paradise – Incredible views of the BT tower on the steel walkways above the buildings – with photobooth and props for the more creative (drunk!) guests to play with. The lounging floors alive with chat about projects, parties and of course Bare Content. Downstairs to reception with all the dancing fools behind the truly compelling Butlers In The Buff. Every once in a while another huge delivery of bottles arrived to cheers from the eternally thirsty. Spilling out past the doormen under the theatrically lit gazebo’s – the hungry and the flirty played in the Mews with the sights, sounds and smells of the Thai Food Van as a soundtrack to the event.

I was lucky enough to be there. Photographing the event for Bare. Trying to stay sober at such a buzzing party was impossible. But I got some great shots and made some friends before they ruined me. Cheers Bare. Great night. Great event, Great company.

Cecilie – 21st Birthday, Soho House

Photography of Cecilie’s Birthday Party at Soho House in London’s West End provided a few challenges as the party in the private dining room at London’s exclusive Soho House was candlelit. I always feel flash photography when trying to capture the mood and feel of an event is lazy. If I want to capture the feel and the mood of a venue then it is all about a steady hand and constant attention to the light. Using fast lenses with a wide open aperture is tricky but definitely worth the effort to get some memorable shots.
